Every vaccine given in Australia is reported by your provider to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR), by law, within 24 hours and no later than 10 working days. The record is yours, and you can see it whenever you want, free.
The quickest route. Medicare Express Plus app
- Download the Medicare Express Plus app (iOS / Android).
- Sign in with your myGov details, it’ll re-confirm your identity the first time.
- Tap Immunisation History.
- You can view, share or download your statement as a PDF.
Via myGov on a computer
- Sign in to myGov and link your Medicare account.
- Open Medicare → Immunisation History Statement.
- Download or print the PDF.
What you’ll see
- The vaccine type, brand and batch number for every dose recorded.
- The date and provider for each dose.
- Whether your record is “up to date” for the NIP childhood and adolescent schedule.
Note: AIR routinely holds vaccines given to children since 1996 and to all ages since 2016. Earlier doses, and many vaccines given overseas, may not appear. Bring whatever paper records you have to your next consult, we can help reconcile them with AIR.
If your record is missing something
Call AIR directly on 1800 653 809, or speak to a pharmacist immuniser or GP. We can sometimes add overseas vaccinations to your AIR record on production of evidence (translated where needed). For doses given decades ago without records, serology (a blood test for immunity) is sometimes used instead.
