How we work, and how you can verify it

These official standards and registers help you ask about practitioner registration, Victorian authorisation and the safeguards relevant to your care.

Check practitioner registration

Ask for the name of the pharmacist who will provide your care and check their registration on the Ahpra public register. Registration and vaccination scope are separate checks.

Discuss clinical safeguards

Discuss screening, consent, cold-chain management and emergency arrangements. Observation is at least 15 minutes after vaccination, or longer when advised.

AIR-reported

Vaccinations are reported to the Australian Immunisation Register under the applicable reporting requirements. Ask when to check your statement and how to request a correction.

SAEFVIC is the Victorian vaccine safety service; SAFEVAC is its reporting system. Reporting does not replace medical care. Call 000 in an emergency.
