We also deliver workplace flu programs for organisations across Melbourne's west. Our 2026 flu season vaccines are expected to be available from April, contact us to confirm stock arrival.

Who Is Eligible for a Free Flu Shot

The following groups are eligible for a free influenza vaccination under the National Immunisation Program:

Adults aged 65 years and over
Children aged 6 months to under 5 years
Pregnant women (at any stage of pregnancy)
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people (6 months+)
People with specified medical risk conditions
Residential aged care facility residents

When to Get Vaccinated

Optimal Timing

The best time to get vaccinated is April to May, before the peak flu season (June–September). Protection develops about two weeks after vaccination and lasts through the season. Getting vaccinated too early (before April) may result in reduced protection by season's end.

Annual Vaccination

The influenza vaccine is updated each year to match circulating strains. Even if you were vaccinated last year, you need this year's vaccine for optimal protection.

Workplace Flu Programs

Protect your entire team with an on-site corporate flu clinic. We deliver programs for organisations of 15+ staff across Melbourne's west. Seasonal programs typically run April–June.
